Film every class. Members watch theirs the same night.

afterclass records the classes at your gym and puts each one on your members' phones fifteen minutes after it ends. They find their class, slow down the part they want, and save a clip.

For MMA, Muay Thai, Kickboxing, Boxing and BJJ gyms.

For gyms and coaches

Find the moment without watching the class.

You and your coaches get your own app. Hours of footage are only useful if you can get to the thirty seconds you actually want, so that is what it is built around.

Search the footage

Ask for what you want to see. Every takedown this week. The last time those two sparred. You get a list of moments to watch, not six hours of video to scrub through.

Go through the sparring

A night's rounds, one at a time. Keep the ones worth talking about, skip the rest, and send a member their own round with a note on it.

Answer once, not forty times

Point at 0:14 instead of describing it, and keep the good ones where the whole gym can see them. The same answer, given once.

And it looks after itself

  • Nobody presses record. It follows the timetable you gave it.
  • No coaching inbox unless you choose one. Coaches review footage on their own schedule.
  • You approve every member, and access ends when a membership does.
  • One price for the gym, whether ten members watch or three hundred.

For members

Find your class. Get to the part you want. Keep it.

Four steps from walking off the mat to a clip on your phone.

  1. Find your class

Your gym's classes, listed by the night they ran. Tap the one you were in.

  2. Get to the moment

Drag the bar to the part you want, then pinch to zoom in on it.

  3. Change angle, slow it down

Switch camera without losing your place. Watch at half speed, or a quarter.

  4. Save a clip

Trim it down to the ten seconds that matter and keep it.

In the app

Your rounds, who you rolled with, and the one worth posting.

The class is only the start of it. What members come back for is their own rounds.

Your rounds, marked out

Rounds are marked on the bar. Jump straight to yours, and keep or skip each one after class.

Training partners

Tag who you rolled with. Every round you have had with them sits in one place.

Post your best rounds

Send a clip straight to Instagram, TikTok or the group chat. It leaves as an ordinary video, so it plays wherever you put it.

At your gym

Cameras over the mat, and you decide who gets in.

Plan of one gym room: four cameras, one in each corner, their views overlapping across the mat. 1 2 3 4
  • Cameras mounted high, looking down at the mat.
  • What each camera sees. Where the views overlap, you get more than one angle.
  • The middle of the mat is seen by all four.

An example single room. Yours depends on its shape, where the posts and bags are, and whether there is a cage or ring.

Getting set up

Cameras mounted above the mat record every class on the timetable, from more than one angle.

Most spaces need three or four cameras. Talk to us about yours before you buy anything.

Already have cameras? Send us what you have and we will check whether afterclass can work with them. Plenty of gym and security cameras can. Some cannot, and it is better to find that out before you spend anything.

Who gets in

A member makes an account and enters your gym's code. You approve them. Until you do, the account can see nothing. No class list, no still frame, no footage.

When someone leaves the gym, their access ends with their membership.

Privacy

Your footage, and nobody else's business.

Filming a gym is a promise to the people on the mat, so here is exactly what happens to it.

  • PrivateFootage is encrypted where it is stored. There is no public link, and the ones the app uses expire.
  • The gym'sThe footage belongs to the gym, not to us and not to the member. They watch while they are enrolled.
  • MinorsKids' and teens' classes are not published. That is enforced in the system, not left to someone remembering.

Pricing

One price for the gym, by how many of you there are.

Same product on every plan. It costs more to cover a bigger gym and nothing extra per member, so the price follows your membership rather than how much anyone watches.

Questions

What gym owners ask first.

What is afterclass?

Cameras over your mat record the classes on your timetable. Members open the app, find the class they were in, watch it from any angle, and save the bits worth keeping. Nobody has to film anything or remember to press record.

How soon can members watch?

Fifteen minutes after the class finishes. The recording goes up as soon as the class ends rather than overnight, so people are usually watching before they have left the car park.

Does this make more work for my coaches?

Not unless you want it to. Nothing is pushed at a coach, so there is no queue waiting after class. They look when they choose, and a clip kept for the whole gym answers the same question once instead of forty times. Member sending stays off until you turn it on.

Who can see the footage?

Your members, once you have approved them, and nobody else. An account that has not been approved sees nothing at all. No class list, no still frame. We do not show footage to anyone outside your gym, and access ends when a membership does.

What about the kids' classes?

They are not published. Classes marked as kids' or teens' classes never reach the app, and that is enforced in the system rather than left to somebody remembering to switch it off.

How many cameras does my gym need?

Most single rooms are covered by three or four. It depends on the shape of the space, where the posts and bags are, and whether you have a cage or a ring. We will work it out with you before you buy anything.

Can I use the cameras I already have?

Sometimes, and it is worth asking. afterclass reads a camera's own video stream, so a gym or security camera that will hand one over on your network can often be used as it is. Several cannot. Most of the cheap cloud cameras keep the footage to themselves. Send us the makes and models and we will tell you which of yours are usable before you buy a thing.

Can members share a clip?

Yes, and they choose who sees it: their coach, the gym, nobody, or straight out to Instagram or TikTok. A clip is theirs to keep; the class it came from stays inside the gym. If you would rather nothing left your academy, sharing can be turned off for the whole gym.

What does it cost?

A monthly fee for the gym, set by how many active members you have. $599 up to 125 members, $799 up to 225, $999 up to 375, and a custom number above that or across more than one location. Cameras and installation are a one-off cost on top, quoted for your space. There is no charge per member, so it costs the same whether ten people watch or three hundred.
